This is my favorite part..
My in-home newborn photography services are perfect for families who want a relaxed, stress free, experience in the comfort of your home.
No rushing anywhere, no complicated preparations or strict schedules. I'll come to you, we'll take our time, follow your baby's needs and let natural family moments happen along the way.
After nearly ten years of working with expecting and new parents, I’ve learned that every baby, every family and every experience is different.
I genuinely love being around newborns and their families. Those early weeks can be beautiful, exhausting and a little overwhelming, all at once. I bring patience, understanding and a calm approach to every session. There’s no need to worry if your baby needs feeding, changing or simply a little extra time. I’m happy to work around whatever the day brings.
When to reach out to me?
You reach me out, preferable while you are still pregnant so I can secure date, and then we confirm the date when little one arrives, within 7-10 days or up to 3-6 weeks.
Natural and Easygoing
When I arrive, I’ll take a quick peek around your home to find the best spots with natural light (since that’s all I work with). Don’t worry about posing - I'll guide you, but nothing will feel stiff or forced. Every baby is different, so we’ll just go with the flow. Some little ones love to nap, while others need extra cuddles, and both are perfect. We’ll capture beautiful moments either way!
Getting Ready for Your Session
- Clothing: Earthy tones like greens, beiges, browns, and soft pinks are my go-tos. Texture looks great in photos, and if you plan to hang these pictures up, think about what colors match your home. I love simple onesies or just a baby bodysuit - perfect for those sweet little feet shots! Moms, make sure you wear something comfy, especially if you’re breastfeeding - easy access is key.
- No Deep Cleaning Needed: Seriously, don’t stress about cleaning up. I can move things around if needed.
- One small tip: neutral-colored bed sheets like beige or white work best for those cozy bedroom shots.
Where We’ll Take Photos
I usually focus on spots like the living room (the couch is a favorite!) or any room with big windows. If you’ve got a nursery, I might snap a few detail shots there too.
The master bedroom is great for those intimate, all-together-on-the-bed moments.
Keeping Things Chill
As a mom myself, I know how chaotic those early days with a newborn can be. This session will be completely baby-led, meaning we take breaks for feeds, naps, or diaper changes whenever needed. There’s no rush - we’ll make it work around your baby’s needs.
Real Moments, No Pressure
I love capturing the beauty of real life. I’ll help guide you, but most of the time, I want you to forget I’m even there. This way, we get those candid, emotional moments that truly reflect your family.
What We’ll Capture
I’ll start by getting everyone in the family in a shot together.
Then we’ll move quickly to include siblings before they lose interest!
After that, I’ll photograph each parent with the baby, parents with a baby and of course, and some solo shots of your little one.
Timing
Sessions usually last up to 2 hours. I like to schedule them between 11:00 and 14:00 because the light is usually great, and babies tend to be a bit more chilled out earlier in the day.
